Anne Harvey (International Group 1, 2 and 3)

Cats have always been part of Anne’s family; however it was not until 1999 that she discovered the cat fancy. Beginning in the year 2000, Anne began breeding and showing Maine Coons. She was one of the first to introduce the breed to Queensland, and among the first handful of Maine Coon breeders in Australia at that time. Anne concentrated on health, temperament and quality in her breeding programme which produced some successful show winners and Cat of the Year winners during that time, but more importantly produced healthy well–balanced kittens who bring joy to their families. Although no longer breeding, Anne enjoys the companionship of her retired Maine Coons.

Anne retired from work in 2015 which enables her to devote more time to the things she enjoys in life and to indulge her passion for travel. Anne recently moved from Hervey Bay in QLD to Evandale in Tasmania.

Junior Companion Judges

Charlotte Hawkes

I have been involved in cat fancy since 2015 when I attended cat shows with a friend who was an exhibitor, I fell in love with a Lilac Oriental Shorthair cat and decided I would like to show one myself. I then purchased my first Oriental and began showing.

I was very fortunate to be mentored by Melanie Wood from Templeton Cattery who was a group 2 breeder who gifted me her USA import and he became the start of my breeding journey. I then purchased a queen and had my first litter under the prefix Carbonel in 2019.

I am keen to develop the Oriental and Siamese breed in Australia and to be a successful breeder and shower of these cats. I am very excited to be accepted as a companion judge and am very keen to start my journey in qualifying to be an All Breeds judge.

My journey into the cat world began back in 1977 when my parents purchased an entire lilac point Siamese female as a gift for me. She was followed by 3 wonderful Calandra girls and a Chun-Tao stud. In the mid 80’s my grandparents started breeding Burmese and I was gifted a red female from Aspasia lines in 1986. From that moment Burmese have always been a huge part of my life. In that time I have bred along with Burmese , British Shorthairs, Burmilla’s, Bombay (now Mandalay), Devon Rex and Tonkinese.

I live at Old Beach near Hobart along with my husband Rod. Our 4 Children are all huge cat lovers, 3 of them have attended cat shows regularly as adults. I have 2 granddaughters who have successfully shown making 4 generations of our family to be cat show enthusiasts. Something I am very proud of.

I am proudly the founding President of the Tasmanian Feline Association which is my governing body. I am currently a Trainee Shorthair judge with TFA which commenced in 2020 and a Junior Companion Judge.

Vanessa Sullivan

I have been involved on and off in the cat fancy for over 22 years first by breeding and showing Devon Rex and Burmese with CAT. I left the fancy for a while to explore different things

15 years of breeding and showing dogs. I now only show.

Came back into pedigree cats when a good friend offered me a Siamese, with another long-time friend saying you should come back to showing

I bred and campaign Siamese and Orientals

I have a very small cattery where my cats are family members first and foremost

I am qualified all a breed and specialist rabbit judge, which I completed in my early twenties. Judging has taken me to very state in Australia, which allows rabbits to be kept.

I only have a few rabbits now, so I'm not really an active breeder.

Most of my weekends are taken up with showing and the odd jabbit judging assignment

I am very exited to have passed my Companions exam, and the exciting road ahead to obtaining my all breeds judging licence.

At the moment, I am the TFA Registar and I have a passion for colour genetics, whether that be dog, cat, or a rabbit, and have a strong working knowledge of how genetic colour works.
